A Miracle in the Making

I got a call on June 30th, 2009 from someone who found a friendly cat with a large open wound on his neck. My husband and I immediately ran over to get the cat. I couldn’t believe the size of his wound.

I brought him to the Dutchess County SPCA the next morning to get checked out and neutered. They stitched up his neck and chin and pulled 2 teeth. A few days later, I brought him to my vet because his neck wound reopened and was going to take several weeks to heal. He also had bilateral ear infections and needed extensive dental work.

Sam is scarred from head to toe from many years of fighting other animals. This big boy is such a sweetheart. He wants an indoor loving home by himself or maybe with another adult cat. Sam loves to lay in your lap and purr! For such a big cat, he has the sweetest meow. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. Sam is approximately 6 years old and is ready for adoption.

7/22/09 Sam had minor wound surgery on his neck and had 2 teeth pulled and teeth cleaning. My big boy came through with flying colors! He will soon be free of his collar and ready for his forever home!

9/13/09 Sam went to his forever loving home!

Sam in his forever home!

8/2/13 Sam crossed the rainbow bridge 🙁
